The subject of the dissertation is welsh epigrammatist John Owen's knowledge of the greek language and literature, to the extent that it can be ascertained by the corpus of his epigrams, as in some cases it is difficult to certify whether he draws directly on a greek or a latin author. The dissertation will be base on books I-X
