Η παρούσα εργασία εξετάζει την εξέλιξη της επιστολής, ως γραμματειακού είδους και κυρίως σε ότι αφορά τη σύνθεση, τις πηγές, τη γλώσσα, τη θεματολογία. Ταυτόχρονα με την εξέταση των κειμένων των σημαντικότερων επιστολογράφων της περιόδου ανάμεσα στον δέκατο έβδομο και δέκατο ένατο αιώνα παρουσιάζονται θέματα που αφορούν ιστορικά γεγονότα της περιόδου, καθώς και άλλα που σχετίζοντα με εκκλησιαστικά ζητήματα αλλά και με θέματα εκπαίδευσης
This essay is refering to the evolvement of the modern greek correspondence as a branch of literature, mainly on issues concerning composition origins, language and contents. While examining the texts of the most profound letter writers of the period between the 17h and the 19th century, also refers to paraller historic events and also issues concerning church matters as well as education one's
