The feast of the Annunciation in the Christian Heortological Cycle

Rogobete, Costena Cristina I.

The present dissertation has tried to define the theological background of the feast of Annunciation, within the events of the divine economy, taking into account the historical developement, the official establishment of the feast, its coincidence with the Great Lent, and the outstanding hymnographic production. The original elements of the PhD analyze the balance between the calendar and the christian heortological together with the sources that inspired the composition of the services based on numerous yet unpublished codices
