Several classes of oral antidiabetic agents are currently available, the range of options having welcome expansion in recent years. Clinicians have a greater range of antidiabetic treatments to choose from than ever. Moreover, as the prevalence of diabetes mellitus type 2 is constantly increased, more patients have to receive some of these available oral antidiabetic agents. So it is very important all the clini- cians to be aware of the above drugs contraindications and adverse reactions.
