Ο ιστορικός της Ελληνικής κοινότητας της Βενετίας Ιωάννης Βελουδής στο σύγγραμά του "Ελλήνων Ορθοδόξων αποικία..." δημοσιεύει επιτύμβιες επιγραφές στις οποίες μεταξύ άλλων περιλαμβάνεται και αυτή που μνημονεύει το κτίσιμο του τοίχου που χωρίζει το Campo dei Greci από την όμορη πολυκατοικία των Querini. Σύμφωνα με αυτήν ο τοίχος κτίστηκε το 1807 και είναι ιδιοκτηρία της Κοινότητας. Η αναζήτηση των ιστορικών τεκμηρίων στο αρχείο της Κοινότητας αποδεικνύει τα όσα ο Βελουδής είχε θησαυρίσει στο βιβλίο του.

The historian of the Greek Community of Venice Giovanni Veludo in his treatise "Ellinon orthodoxon apoikia..." had published funerary inscriptions but among them, he also included an inscription referring to the building of the wall separating the Campo dei Greci from the neighbouring residential building of Querini. According to the inscription the wall was built in 1807 and belongs to the Greek Community. The search for historical documentation in the Archive of the Community proves what Veludo had treasured in his book.
