The governing framework for CSR and its implementation in Greece at a time of crisis
Η Εταιρική Κοινωνική Ευθύνη (ΕΚΕ) είναι η επιχειρηματική συμπεριφορά η οποία περιγράφει την ανάγκη για βιώσιμη και κοινωνικά υπεύθυνη οικονομική ανάπτυξη. Οι εφαρμογές της είναι αρκετές και συχνά αντιφατικές, ιδιαίτερα υπό το πρίσμα των συνθηκών της οικονομικής κρίσης στην Ελλάδα. Η έρευνα θα είναι ποιοτική με ημιδομημένες συνεντεύξεις, περιλαμβάνοντας ένα μεγάλο μέρος του φάσματος που χαρακτηρίζει την επιχειρηματική δράση, ώστε να καλυφθούν όσο το δυνατόν περισσότερες πτυχές του φαινομένου.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a business behavior that describes the need for sustainable and socially responsible economic development. Based on principles such as sustainability, it is conceptually linked with a number of other terms and definitions. Its implementations are quite vast and sometimes contradictive. The debate for CSR is even more evident under the new conditions set by the financial crisis and its social effects. The theoretical part of this thesis will be based on the governing framework of CSR and the research on its implementation. The governing framework incorporates a number of issues following the horizontal pattern: Creation of a term – Standardization, implementation – Institutionalization – Legislation. The section on methodology will contain a description of the processes followed during the research, the research hypotheses (based on the theoretical backbone) and the research tool, as well as the sampling method. The research will be a qualitative via semi structured interviews.
