the thesis deals with a decisive matter for the European Union Copyright Enforcement Law: the need to strike a balance between the rights of copyright holders and the rights of Internet users in the fight against online piracy. an extended analysis of this new digital challenge and how the current EU rules have addressed to it is provided as well as an evaluation of the measures introduced so far.
