A correlation for the thermal delay of buildings (EN)

Antonopoulos, KA (EN)
Tzivanidis, C (EN)

A correlation is developed which expresses the thermal delay of buildings in terms of mean indoor temperature increase over mean outdoor temperature, heating power density including solar radiation, and size of building, for various building types. The correlation is based on a finite-difference solution of a system of coupled differential equations describing the transient heat transfer and energy balance in buildings. © 1995. (EN)
