The present paper deals with the characterization of wastewaters generated from each separated stage during a cellulosic and or polyesteric fibres dyeing and finishing process. From fifteen stages of a cellulosic fibers dyeing process 254 L of wastewater per kg of fibers are produced while for polyesteric/cellulosic fibres dyeing process using eighteen stages 318 L of wastewater pr kg of fibers used are produced. The total effluent contains low concentration of organics, high color units, temperature, pH, alkalinity and sodium chloride concentration. (EN)
