An original mathematical model is presented for the restoration of the north and south wall faces of the Parthenon Temple in Acropolis, Athens, Greece. The mathematical model was developed as an expert system, using fuzzy logic techniques. The model is implemented as a software package, called IKTINOS. Apart from the actual application, the fuzzy logic mathematical simulation scheme itself is original and may be used for various computational engineering problems, especially when dealing with missing data or inadequate information.
