The paper deals with the verbal suffix -ισκ- in the Cappadocian varieties. Parallels and differences with the use of the suffix in other dialect groups are shown. A comparison with its function in Ancient Greek dialects of Asia Minor points to the possibility that it may be a dialectal archaism. The evidence of the variety of Silli, which presents affix pleonasm, is of special interest, as it may provide evidence of morphological change through contact. (EN)
