Ο σκοπός είναι η  δημιουργία ενός πρότυπου και μιας βάσης δεδομένων που θα: \n- Καταγράφει το ιστορικό κι αισθητικό πλαίσιο των μνημείων. \n- Αποτυπώνει τα μορφολογικά και τυπολογικά χαρακτηριστικά.\n- Τεκμηριώνει την τεχνολογία και τα υλικά κατασκευής.\n- Διερευνά την παθολογία σε συνάρτηση με το περιβάλλον έκθεσης και τις παραμέτρους του. \n- Διαμορφώνει προτάσεις κατάλληλων επεμβάσεων συντήρησης, προστασίας και διαχείρισης.\nΣτόχος είναι να χρησιμοποιηθεί αυτό το πρότυπο για τη μελέτη όλων των χαρακτηρισμένων μνημείων του Ά Κοιμητηρίου, ώστε να δημιουργηθεί μια βάση δεδομένων που θα επιτρέπει στους υπεύθυνους της συλλογής να εφαρμόσουν ένα βιώσιμο πρόγραμμα συντήρησης και παρακολούθησης.",
