The 2:1 reaction between Zn(O(2)CMe)(2). 2H(2)O and 1-Meim in refluxing MeCN gives [Zn(7)O(2)(O(2)CMe)(10)(1-Meim)(2)] 1 which comprises two vertex-sharing tetranuclear Zn(4)(mu(4)-O)(eta(1): eta(1) :mu(2)-O(2)CMe)(5)(1-Meim) units; solid-state (13)C and (15)N NMR spectra reveal structural details of the complex.
