Ο κλειστός χώρος που επιλέχθηκε είναι το θερμοκήπιο. Στη παρακάτω εργασία, δίνεται να κατανοηθεί ο έλεγχος της εσωτερικής θερμοκρασίας, της σχετικής υγρασίας, ο έλεγχος της φωτεινότητας ενός θερμοκηπίου και η επίβλεψη της ηλιακής ακτινοβολίας. Πιο συγκεκριμένα, χρησιμοποιείται σύστημα PLC, μια οθόνη τηλεχειρισμού HMI  και όργανα αισθητηρίων για της διάφορες περιβαλλοντικές συνθήκες  (υγρασίας-θερμοκρασίας, κλπ). Επιπρόσθετα, προγραμματίζονται το plc και η οθόνη HMI με συγκεκριμένο πρόγραμμα λειτουργίας, το οποίο φέρει και simulation. Συμπερασματικά, η χρήση όλου του παραπάνω συστήματος ικανοποιεί τις ανάγκες για καλύτερο έλεγχο των περιβαλλοντολογικών συνθηκών του θερμοκηπίου.",
