Προσφέρει, όχι μόνο προηγμένες δυνατότητες όπως ο έλεγχος της έντασης φωτισμού και δημιουργίας τεχνητού φωτός ημέρας, αλλά και εξοικονόμηση ενέργειας, ευελιξία στο περιβάλλον τοποθέτησης και χαμηλό κόστος συντήρησης. Στην παρούσα εργασία θα αναφερθούν οι δημιουργοί του συστήματος DALI και ιστορικά του στοιχεία. Επίσης θα παρουσιαστούν τα κύρια χαρακτηριστικά του συστήματος και οι βασικές λειτουργίες του, οι οποίες είναι οι ομάδες, οι σκηνές, ο έλεγχος έντασης του φωτισμού και ο έλεγχος χρώματος. Υπάρχουν πολλά εξαρτήματα για την κατασκευή ενός συστήματος DALI και μερικά από αυτά θα περιγραφούν στην εργασία. Επίσης, θα αναλυθεί ο τρόπος που γίνεται η καλωδίωση και o προγραμματισμός ενός συστήματος DALI, τα πλεονεκτήματα, τα μειονεκτήματα αλλά και πληροφορίες για το κόστος εγκατάστασης του συστήματος. Στο τέλος της εργασίας, θα παρουσιαστεί αναλυτικά η κατασκευή ενός απλού συστήματος DALI και ο προγραμματισμός των βασικών λειτουργιών του.",
