    "description" : "Το μαρούλι (Lactuca sativa L.) είναι ένα από τα πιο δημοφιλή λαχανικά παγκοσμίως. Η καλλιέργειά του κατά κανόνα είναι υπαίθρια ωστόσο ενδείκνυται και σε θερμοκήπια κυρίως σε χώρες με βαρύ χειμώνα. Στην Ελλάδα, τα τελευταία χρόνια έχει σημειωθεί σταδιακή αύξηση των καλλιεργούμενων εκτάσεων με αντίστοιχη αύξηση της ολικής παραγωγής. Οι πιο διαδεδομένοι τύποι μαρουλιού είναι η Ρομάνα, το κεφαλωτό – Butterhead και το κατσαρό κεφαλωτό – Crisphead. Ο τύπος που καλλιεργείται περισσότερο στην Ελλάδα είναι ο τύπος Ρομάνα αν και τα τελευταία χρόνια υπάρχει κάποια στροφή και προς τον τύπο του κεφαλωτού. \nΤο μαρούλι είναι αρκετά ευαίσθητο προϊόν και υπάρχουν πολλοί παράγοντες που επηρεάζουν την ποιότητά του, τόσο περιβαλλοντικοί (όπως θερμοκρασία, κλίμα, φως, έδαφος κ.α) όσο και ανθρωπογενείς (όπως πότισμα, λιπάσματα κ.α).\nΕξαιτίας της χαμηλής θερμιδικής αξίας του και της υψηλής περιεκτικότητάς του σε νερό, δεν αποδίδεται συχνά η αξία που του αναλογεί στο καθημερινό διαιτολόγιο. Ωστόσο είναι μια από τις υγιεινότερες τροφές καθώς προσφέρει αρκετές ποσότητες βιταμίνης Α, σιδήρου, ασβεστίου, καλίου και φωσφόρου ενώ η περιεκτικότητά του σε λίπη και υδατάνθρακες είναι σχεδόν ασήμαντη.\nΣτην παρούσα μελέτη αξιολογήθηκε η θρεπτική σύσταση 6 τύπων μαρουλιού (3 πράσινες σαλάτες και 3 κόκκινες) συγκριτικά με το βάρος της ξηρής μάζας τους. Συγκεκριμένα, οι μετρήσεις διερευνήθηκαν στις ποικιλίες μαρουλιού Kireve RZ, LS 16748, Musena (πράσινες) και Carnesi RZ, Prodigio, Louxal RZ (κόκκινες). Με βάση τα αποτελέσματα της μελέτης μας, οι τύποι πράσινης σαλάτας έχουν υψηλές τιμές βάρους ξηρής ουσίας αλλά χαμηλή περιεκτικότητα σε θρεπτικά συστατικά ενώ οι τύποι κόκκινης σαλάτας το αντίστροφο. Την καλύτερη απόδοση θρεπτικών ουσιών σε σχέση με το βάρος έχει ο τύπος πράσινης σαλάτας Musena και ο τύπος κόκκινης σαλάτας Prodigio. Συνεπώς, αυτοί οι τύποι μαρουλιού μπορούν να προσφέρουν μια καλύτερη διατροφική επιλογή.",
