Συνεπώς, πρέπει να δοθεί ιδιαίτερη προσοχή στη διαχείριση των υδάτινων πόρων. Συμπερασματικά φαίνεται ότι, οι αρχές της βιωσιμότητας φαίνεται να είναι ιδιαίτερα κατάλληλες για την αντιμετώπιση των προβλημάτων που τίθενται στη διαχείριση των υδάτων. Ως εκ τούτου, η βιωσιμότητα των υδάτινων πόρων είναι η ικανότητα χρήσης νερού σε επαρκή ποσότητα και ποιότητα, τόσο σε τοπικό όσο και σε παγκόσμιο επίπεδο, για την κάλυψη των αναγκών των ανθρώπων και των οικοσυστημάτων, στο παρόν και στο μέλλον, με στόχο τη διατήρηση και προστασία της ζωής από κινδύνους. Το πράσινο μάρκετινγκ είναι βασικός παράγοντας για την προστασία υδάτινων πόρων, καθώς, με την υποστήριξη της τεχνολογίας και άλλων σύγχρονων υποδομών επιδιώκει τον στόχο του.",
