    "description" : "Η παρούσα πτυχιακή εργασία έχει ως βασικό στόχο τη διερεύνηση της δυνατότητας εξοικονόμησης ενέργειας διαμέσου των πράσινων στεγών. Πολλές έρευνες έχουν πραγματοποιηθεί στο πλαίσιο αυτό και είναι αλήθεια πως οι πράσινες οροφές δείχνουν ευεργετική επίδραση τόσο σε ενεργειακή όσο και σε οικονομική άποψη. Ιδιαίτερα μεγάλη εξοικονόμηση ενέργειας φαίνεται να προέρχεται από τη μείωση της ζήτησης της ψύξης κατά τους θερινούς μήνες ενώ ταυτόχρονα η εξοικονόμηση φαίνεται ότι επηρεάζεται από ένα πλήθος παραγόντων όπως η γενικότερη λειτουργία του εκάστοτε κτιρίου, ο τύπος της πράσινης οροφής, η πυκνότητα των εγκατεστημένων φυτών, το ύψος της εγκατάστασης, το ποσοστό άρδευσης και η συντήρηση. Εκτός από την εξοικονόμηση ενέργειας και τη βελτίωση της ενεργειακής αποτύπωσης των κτιρίων, τα λειτουργικά και περιβαλλοντικά οφέλη από τις πράσινες στέγες είναι πράγματι πολλά. Η βελτίωση της διαχείρισης των όμβριων υδάτων, η μείωση των επιπτώσεων της αστικής θερμικής νησίδας, η μείωση του ατμοσφαιρικού θορύβου και η αύξηση των αστικών οικοτόπων είναι κάποια από αυτά και το σύνολό τους αναλύεται στην παρούσα πτυχιακή εργασία. Για την πλήρη επέκταση αυτού του πράσινου εργαλείου αειφόρου ανάπτυξης είναι πλέον αναγκαία η συνεργασία όλων των φορέων (κράτος, πολιτεία και Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση) ώστε να αποφευχθούν οι πάσης φύσεως ανασταλτικοί παράγοντες και να αξιοποιηθούν πλήρως οι πάσης φύσεως ευκαιρίες για εξοικονόμηση και αειφορία.",
