Αναλυτικότερα, στο πρώτο κεφάλαιο περιγράφεται η ανατομία του γυναικείου αναπαραγωγικού συστήματος η οποία χωρίζεται σε έσω\nγεννητικά και έξω γεννητικά όργανα. Στο επόμενο κεφάλαιο εμβαθύνετε ο κύριος ρόλος των γυναικείων ορμονών (η γοναδοτροπίνη, η οιστραδιόλη και η προγεστερόνη)\nοι οποίες έχουν ως στόχο την ρύθμιση της διαδικασίας του αναπαραγωγικού κύκλου. Επιπλέον, είναι αναγκαίο να αναφερθεί ότι στο συγκεκριμένο κεφάλαιο εντάσσεται και ο καταμήνιος κύκλος, ο οποίος εξαρτάται από την έκκριση των προαναφερόμενων γυναικείων ορμονών. Εν συνέχεια, ακολουθεί η ενδοκρινολογία της αναπαραγωγής, δηλαδή ο φυσιολογικός εμμηνορρυσιακός κύκλος αλλά και τις διαταραχές που μπορούν να εμφανιστούν στο γυναικείο αναπαραγωγικό σύστημα. Αναπτύσσεται η συχνότερη διαταραχή η οποία είναι η λειτουργική αιμορραγία της μήτρας που παρουσιάζεται στην εφηβική ηλικία. Η διαταραχή αυτή χαρακτηρίζεται από παθολογική αιμορραγία της μήτρας και έχει ως αιτία την ανώμαλη ωορρηξία, δηλαδή, δεν απελευθερώνεται φυσιολογικά\nωάριο από τις ωοθήκες. Ο λόγος που είναι πιθανόν να εμφανιστεί μια τέτοιου είδους διαταραχή, μπορεί να εξαρτηθεί από διάφορες καταστάσεις, όπως για παράδειγμα, το στρες και άλλα αίτια. Τέλος, υπάρχουν διάφορες θεραπευτικές επιλογές, οι οποίες εξαρτώνται από τα αίτια της αιμορραγίας αλλά και από την ηλικία.",
