Απαρτίζονται από ένα σύνολο κρατών που συνενώνονται με νόμιμους νομικούς δεσμούς, όπου ο κάθε οργανισμός έχει τις «δικές του επιδιώξεις» και «τα δικά του όργανα». Οι οργανισμοί δημιουργήθηκαν για να διευθετηθούν οι διεθνής διαφορές, να αναπτυχθεί το διεθνές εμπόριο, να διατηρείται η οικονομική και νομισματική σταθερότητα, τα κράτη μέλη να επεξεργάζονται κοινές λύσεις  και να προωθείται έτσι η συνεργασία τους. \nΗ Ελλάδα από την ένταξη της στην Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση συμμετέχει στους περισσότερους Διεθνείς Οικονομικούς Οργανισμούς. Αυτό έχει αποφέρει πολλά στην ελληνική οικονομία, στο εμπόριο αλλά και στους πολίτες μεμονωμένα. \nΟ σκοπός της εργασίας είναι να κατανοηθεί η έννοια των Οικονομικών Οργανισμών αλλά και η σημασία αυτών στην Ελλάδα και στα υπόλοιπα κράτη μέλη.",
