Επίσης \nδίνονται στοιχεία για την τεχνολογική και ηλικιακή κατάσταση των \nκυκλοφορούντων οχημάτων.\nΣτο τρίτο κεφάλαιο δίνονται στοιχεία για την ιστορική εξέλιξη \nτης αντιρρυπαντικής τεχνολογίας του αυτοκινήτου και ειδικά του \nκαταλυτικού μετατροπέα και εφαρμογή αυτού στα οχήματα.\nΤο τέταρτο κεφάλαιο πραγματεύεται το τεράστιο θέμα των \nεναλλακτικών μορφών αυτοκίνησης, είτε αφορά νέους κινητήρες είτε \nεναλλακτικά καύσιμα.
