    "description" : "Ο στόχος της παρούσας διπλωματικής εργασίας είναι η παρουσίαση των δυνατοτήτων διασύνδεσης διαφόρων πηγών δεδομένων μεταξύ τους και η διαχείρισή τους, με την χρήση του πρότυπου OPC. Mε τη χρήση ενός διακομιστή OPC και μιας εφαρμογής S.C.A.D.A., μπορούμε να διασυνδέσουμε μεταξύ άλλων τα μέρη μιας γραμμής παραγωγής, δίνοντάς μας έτσι την δυνατότητα να παρακολουθήσουμε την παραγωγή ή να κάνουμε χειρισμούς και παρεμβάσεις σε αυτήν. Άλλα πεδία εφαρμογής του διακομιστή OPC και της εφαρμογής SCADA είναι το μηχανουργείο, οι ηλεκτρικές καταναλώσεις ενός εργοστασίου, συστήματα ασφάλειας και παρακολούθησης, δίκτυα ύδρευσης, σειρές αναλυτικών οργάνων, γραμμές επεξεργασίας τροφίμων ή αποβλήτων, εφαρμογές παρακολούθησης ποιοτικών χαρακτηριστικών σε φυσικούς πόρους κλπ.\nΓια την ανάδειξη ορισμένων δυνατοτήτων χρησιμοποιήθηκαν ως πηγές δεδομένων διαφορετικά PLC, για εφαρμογή S.C.A.D.A. το LabVIEW 2009 και για διακομιστή OPC αυτόν της National Instruments. Η εφαρμογή που χρησιμοποιήθηκε για την υλοποίηση του πρακτικού μέρους της διπλωματική εργασίας είναι μέρος μιας μεγαλύτερης πλατφόρμας S.C.A.D.A. με πεδίο εφαρμογής τον τηλε-έλεγχο, την τηλε-εποπτεία και τον τηλεχειρισμό ενός απομακρυσμένου φωτοβολταϊκού πάρκου το οποίο θα τροφοδοτεί με ηλεκτρική ενέργεια ένα σύστημα απιονισμού.",
