Έχει σαν αντικείμενο την μελέτη, σχεδιασμό και κατασκευή συστημάτων που επιτρέπουν την παραγωγή, διάδοση, ηχογράφηση / αποθήκευση, αναπαραγωγή, μέτρηση και βιομηχανική χρήση του ήχου. Αναλύοντας τον ήχο ως φυσική έννοια, στην συνέχεια την ανάλυση των μετατροπέων αναλογικών σε ψηφιακών σημάτων και τα σφάλματα τους, μέχρι την ανάλυση ενός πλήρους ηχητικού συστήματος το οποίο απαρτίζεται από: την πηγή, τον προενισχυτή, τον τελικό ενισχυτή (ισχύος), τα ηχεία και τις γραμμές μεταφοράς (καλώδια).  Και τέλος, περιλαμβάνει την σχεδίαση  ενός κυκλώματος με το ολοκληρωμένο MAX187 (A.D. CONVERTER) που συνδέεται στη θύρα ενός PC, στο πρόγραμμα Spice και ανάλυση λειτουργίας του.",
