Παρουσιάζεται στο πρώτο κεφάλαιο το υπόβαθρο που μπορεί να βοηθήσει τον αναγνώστη μας να κατανοήσει γενικά πράγματα, όπως για το τι είναι θόρυβος, ποιες είναι οι κατηγορίες θορύβου, τα χαρακτηριστικά του, την μέτρηση του και τον υπολογισμό του. \nΣτο επόμενο κεφάλαιο αναφέρονται οι παράγοντες που δημιουργούν και ευνοούν τον κυκλοφοριακό θόρυβο, οι συνέπειες που έχει η αυξημένη στάθμη θορύβου στην υγεία του ανθρώπου και του ευρύτερου κοινωνικού συνόλου. Επίσης, παρακάτω αναφέρονται όλες οι νομοθεσίες που υπάρχουν τόσο στην Ελλάδα, τόσο στην Ευρωπαϊκή ένωση όσο και στις υπόλοιπες χώρες του κόσμου.\n\nΑκόμη, δίδονται οι μετρήσεις που πραγματοποιήθηκαν στους κεντρικούς δρόμους της Πάτρας, γίνονται συγκρίσεις των αποτελεσμάτων με παλαιότερες, σχολιασμός των αποτελεσμάτων, διαγράμματα κυκλοφοριακού με το Leq, διαγράμματα Leq με την ώρα και η χαρτογράφηση της Πάτρας με τις νέες τιμές.",
