Γνωστές ως Ανανεώσιμες Πηγές Ενέργειας μονοπωλούν το ενδιαφέρον μελετητών για την παραγωγή ενέργειας χωρίς να εκλύουν βλαβερές προς το περιβάλλον ουσίες. Μια πολύ σημαντική πηγή ενέργειας είναι η ηλιακή. Η ηλιακή ενέργεια μπορεί να να αξιοποιηθεί με τη βοήθεια των φωτοβολταϊκών συστημάτων, τα οποία έχουν τη δυνατότητα να μετατρέπουν την ηλιακή ενέργεια σε ηλεκτρική. \nΣκοπός της παρούσας πτυχιακής εργασίας είναι η παρουσίαση μιας οικονομοτεχνικής μελέτης μιας εγκατάστασης ηλεκτροφωτισμού της κεντρικής οδού Νεράιδας (Κοζάνης). Η εργασία χωρίζεται σε δυο μέρη, το πρώτο μέρος αφορά την γενική τεχνολογία των φωτοβολταϊκών συστημάτων και το σύστημα ηλεκτροφωτισμού με τη χρήση φωτοβολαϊκών πάνελ, με σκοπό το φωτισμό της οδού και το δεύτερο μέρος την οικονομοτεχνική μελέτη για την εγκατάσταση τους.",
