Επίσης θα μελετήσουμε τι ρόλο μπορούν να παίξουν οι ανεμογεννήτριες και άλλες ανανεώσιμες πηγές ενέργειας στην ηλεκτροπαραγωγή των νησιών. Θα αναφέρουμε τη σύνδεση των νησιών με υποβρύχιο καλώδιο από κάποιες περιοχές της ηπειρωτικής χώρας και ειδικότερα θα αναπτύξουμε τη διασύνδεση της Κρήτης με αυτές, καθώς και τις τεχνικές και τεχνολογία διασύνδεσης. Θα δούμε τη μεταφορά με συνεχές και εναλλασόμενο ρεύμα. Εδώ και πολλά χρόνια είναι ένα έργο το οποίο προσπαθεί να γίνει πράξη έτσι ώστε να μπορούν τα νησιά να εξυπηρετούνται αυτόνομα για τις ανάγκες που έχουν.",
