    "description" : "Στα πλαίσια της παρακάτω εργασίας παρουσιάζεται η μελέτη του πληθυσμού των παραγωγών βιολογικής καλλιέργειας ελιάς στο νομό Χαλκιδικής, επικεντρώνοντας στα χαρακτηριστικά τους, και τις καλλιεργητικές πρακτικές που εφαρμόζουν και πως αυτές συμβάλλουν στην αειφορική διαχείριση της περιοχής. Η έρευνα πραγματοποιήθηκε με συμπλήρωση των ερωτηματολογίων, με προσωπική επαφή σε τυχαίο δείγμα ατόμων σε όλο τον νομό. \nΑπό την έρευνα διαπιστώθηκε ότι οι παραγωγοί βιολογικής βρώσιμης και ελαιοποιήσιμης ελιάς είναι στο μεγαλύτερο ποσοστό άντρες, μέσης ηλικίας, οι οποίοι εντάσσονται σε συνεταιρισμούς της περιοχής. Το κύριο επάγγελμα τους δεν είναι η γεωργία καθώς ασχολούνται και με άλλα επαγγέλματα. Η εμπορία του βιολογικού ελαιόλαδου και της βιολογικά βρώσιμης ελιάς βρίσκεται σε πρωταρχική φάση αλλά γίνονται προσπάθειες για την αναβάθμισή της. \nΕπίσης για τους περισσότερους βιοκαλλιεργητές  κίνητρο για την ένταξη τους στη βιολογική γεωργία αποτέλεσε η οικονομική ενίσχυση. Ωστόσο, η έρευνα απέδειξε ότι χαρακτηρίζονται για την συνέπεια τους στις αειφορικές καλλιεργητικές πρακτικές που εφαρμόζουν, είναι συνειδητοποιημένοι και τυπικοί στις υποχρεώσεις τους και τηρούν τις αρχές της βιολογικής γεωργίας. Σε γενικές γραμμές αποσκοπούν σε πρακτικές που δεν επιβαρύνουν το περιβάλλον και που δεν υποβαθμίζουν την ποιότητα των προϊόντων που παράγουν.",
