The aggregation and integration of numerous, heterogeneous data sources intoa central, organized and unified data warehouse is crucial for the utilization of this data.This work concerns the design and implementation of a seismological data warehouse tointegrate and store heterogeneous seismological data, as well as the analysis of query typesto extract computational and comparative conclusions that will enable its users, researchersand non-researchers, process and analyze such data to enable more efficient interactionbetween data and users. Additionally, tools such as visual analysis engines can facilitate thecreation of interactive visual analysis to transform data into understandable, interactivegraphs.Data collection is carried out using dynamic maps and other sources and concern variouscriteria such as earthquake size, time period, focus depth, geographic location of theepicenter etc. but also various seismological parameters from the seismological stations."

      "@value" : "Η επιστήμη της Σεισμολογίας ως κλάδος της Γεωφυσικής έχει αντικείμενο τη μελέτη τωνσεισμικών φαινομένων χρησιμοποιώντας τα τελευταία χρόνια μεγάλου όγκου δεδομένα,λόγω της αυξανόμενης ικανότητας δημιουργίας και συλλογής πληροφοριών ως αποτέλεσμαμαζικών παρατηρήσεων που έχουν παραδώσει τεράστιες ποσότητες σεισμολογικώνδεδομένων. Η συγκέντρωση και ενσωμάτωση πολυάριθμων, ετερογενών πηγών δεδομένωνμε σκοπό τη δημιουργία μιας κεντρικής, οργανωμένης και ενοποιημένης αποθήκηςδεδομένων είναι ζωτικής σημασίας στην αξιοποίηση των δεδομένων αυτών.Η εργασία αυτή αφορά στο σχεδιασμό και την υλοποίηση μιας αποθήκης δεδομένων μεσεισμολογικά δεδομένα με σκοπό την ενσωμάτωση ετερογενών σεισμολογικών δεδομένωνκαι την αποθήκευσή τους, καθώς και την ανάλυση τύπων ερωτημάτων για την εξαγωγήυπολογιστικών και συγκριτικών συμπερασμάτων που θα επιτρέπει στους χρήστες της,ερευνητές και μη, να επεξεργάζονται και να αναλύουν τέτοιου είδους δεδομένα παρέχονταςμια πιο αποτελεσματική αλληλεπίδραση μεταξύ των δεδομένων και των χρηστών.Επιπλέον, εργαλεία όπως μηχανές οπτικής ανάλυσης μπορούν να διευκολύνουν τηδημιουργία διαδραστικών οπτικών αναλυτικών στοιχείων για τη μετατροπή των δεδομένωνσε κατανοητά, διαδραστικά γραφικά.Η συλλογή των δεδομένων θα γίνει με χρήση δυναμικών χαρτών και άλλων πηγών και θααφορούν διάφορα κριτήρια όπως μέγεθος σεισμού, χρονική περίοδος, εστιακό βάθος,γεωγραφική θέση επικέντρου, κ.ά. αλλά και διάφορες σεισμολογικές παραμέτρους από τουςσεισμολογικούς σταθμούς."
