Η παρούσα εργασία ερευνά τον τρόπο με τον οποίο η έννοια της ατμόσφαιρας εφαρμόζεται στον τομέα της αρχιτεκτονικής, εξετάζοντας διάφορες αρχιτεκτονικές παραμέτρους και στοιχεία, τα οποία δεν περιορίζονται μόνο στην λειτουργική και τεχνική επίλυση μιας αρχιτεκτονικής σύνθεσης, αλλά αποσκοπούν στην δημιουργία μιας συνολικής εμπειρίας, στην δημιουργία ατμόσφαιρας. Η έρευνα μας χωρίζεται σε δύο μέρη. Το πρώτο ξεκινά με μία γενική προσέγγιση της έννοιας της ατμόσφαιρας. Στην συνέχεια, ερευνώνται οι αρχιτεκτονικές παράμετροι και στοιχεία που διαμορφώνουν την ατμόσφαιρα στον αρχιτεκτονικό χώρο και γίνεται αναφορά-ανάλυση επιλεγμένων παραδειγμάτων ατμοσφαιρικών χώρων. Στο δεύτερο μέρος, σκοπός μας ήταν αναγνωρίσουμε όλα εκείνα τα αρχιτεκτονικά στοιχεία και τις παραμέτρους, σε επιλεγμένα κτίρια που μας κέντρισαν το ενδιαφέρον, στην επίσκεψή μας στη Νέα Υόρκη και στο Τόκιο. Η μεθοδολογία που ακολουθήθηκε στηρίζεται σε βιβλιογραφική έρευνα, μελέτη και παράθεση απόψεων και θέσεων φιλοσόφων, θεωρητικών, αρχιτεκτόνων και σε βιωματική έρευνα, αναφορά προσωπικών παρατηρήσεων. The present study investigates the way with which the meaning of the atmosphere is applied to the field of architecture, examining different architectural aspects and elements, which they are not only restricted on the functional and technical resolution of an architectural composition, but they intend to the creation of a complete experience and the atmosphere creation as well. Our study is divided in two parts. The first part begins with a general approach of the atmosphere meaning. After that, the architectural aspects and elements which form the atmosphere in the architectural space are researched and furthermore a report and an analysis of the chosen examples of atmosphere spaces are made. In the second part our intention was to identify all these architectural elements and aspects on chosen buildings which captured our interest on our visit in New York and Tokyo. The methodology that we followed is based on bibliographic research, study and statements of philosopher’s and theoretical architect’s opinions, on experiential research and on reporting of personal observations.
