Σκοπός της ερευνητικής εργασίας είναι η διερεύνηση των spolia, των επαναχρησιμοποιημένων οικοδομικών υλικών από κτίσματα που έχουν κατεδαφιστεί, ως ένα από τα μέσα αναζήτησης της τοπικότητας σε κατοικίες του Ελληνικού Μεταπολεμικού Μοντερνισμού. Η χρήση των spolia στην Μεταπολεμική Ελλάδα είναι ευρεία λόγω της πληθώρας των οικοδομικών αποβλήτων και αποτέλεσμα της έντονης ανοικοδόμησης και παράλληλα κατεδάφισης των κτισμάτων του 19ου αι. και των αρχών του 20ου. Η έννοια του θραύσματος αναλύεται σε αυτή την περίπτωση, υπό την μορφή των spolia, ως ένα δοχείο συλλογικής μνήμης με αναγωγές στο παρελθόν και την ιστορία, πράγμα το οποίο δημιουργεί αντίθεση με τα προτάγματα του μοντέρνου κινήματος. Η εργασία πραγματεύεται μοντέρνες κατοικίες μεταπολεμικές, όπου εντοπίζεται ενδιαφέρουσα χρήση των spolia χωρίς να απομακρύνονται από το πνεύμα του Μοντερνισμού. Ανάμεσα σε άλλα επιχειρεί να απαντήσει ερωτήματα: • Ποιοι οι συνθετικοί χειρισμοί στη χρήση των spolia στις κατοικίες του Ελληνικού Μεταπολεμικού Μοντερνισμού και πως συνδιαλέγεται με τις κανονιστικές αρχές του ; • Εμφανίζεται σχέση ανάμεσα στην επιλογή των spolia και τον τόπο καταγωγής των ιδιοκτητών ; Αν ναι, πώς ερμηνεύεται; (EL)
The aim of this research project is to investigate spolia, reused building materials from demolished buildings, as one of the means of searching for locality in Greek Postwar Modernist residences. The use of spolia in post-war Greece is widespread due to the abundance of construction waste and the result of the intensive reconstruction and demolition of 19th century buildings and early 20th century. The concept of the fragment is analysed in this case, in the form of spolia, as a container of collective memory with references to the past and history, which creates a contradiction with the precepts of the modern movement. The paper deals with post-war modern houses, where an interesting use of spolia is found without departing from the spirit of Modernism. Among other things, it attempts to answer questions: • What are the compositional manipulations in the use of spolia in Greek Postwar Modernism and how does it interact with its normative principles? • Is there a relationship between the choice of spolia and the place of origin of the owners? If so, how is it interpreted? (EN)
