A comparison of reference desk services of twenty academic libraries in Greece

In the present paper attempts to outline the dynamics of Greek academic libraries, through the analysis of the services of their IT departments as presented through their websites. Initially, it analyzes the operating framework for academic libraries, as outlined by the international literature. Occurs, the role of academic libraries and their position in the information environment, the academic library services such as presented on their official sites and finally the comparison carried out between universities and the conclusions which emerged.
