      "@value" : "SUMMARY\nThe type-I neurofibromatosis (von Recklinghausen disease)\n(NF-1), is a dominantly inherited syndrome with varying\ndisease manifestations with the consistent feature that\ntissues derived from the neural crest is most commonly\naffected. In addition to the nearly uniform development of\nneurofibromas, NF1 patients are at elevated risk of developing\npheochromocytomas, schwannomas, neurofibrosarcomas, and\nprimary brain tumours.\nAlthough gastrointestinal tumours have been well described\nin patients with von Recklinghausen disease, and numerous\ncase studies have been reported, colonic cancer is rarely\nassociated with the disease.\nWe report a case of multiple synchronous colonic tumours,\nin a patient who fulfilled two of the seven criteria proposed\nby the NIH (National Institute of Health) for the diagnosis\nof NF1.\nKey words: neurofibromatosis-1, von Recklinghausen\ndisease, multiple adenocarcinoma of colon, phacomatosis"
