      "@value" : "SUMMARY\nThis study compares the effect of the combination of octreotide\nplus methylprednisolone with octreotide and placebo\non biochemical and clinical parameters of endoscopic retrograde\ncholangiopancreatograpy (ERCP) induced pancreatitis.\nTwo hundred and twenty two patients were randomised\nto receive either octreotide plus methylprednisolone,\noctreotide or placebo. There was no difference in the\nmedian serum amylase at 2 to 24 hours after ERCP in the\nthree groups. Clinical pancreatitis, developed in 11 patients\n-one in the octretode plus methylprednisolone, four in the\noctretode and six in the placebo groups, although there was\nno statistically significant difference between the three\ngroups.
