      "@value" : "This dissertation focuses on the analysis and design of an Information System that supports the process of renting shared/communal bicycles in an urban environment and more specifically, in the centre of Athens, from the user’s side primarily, but also in terms of management as well as internal functioning. Furthermore, this work seeks to examine the benefits which can be offered by integrating a BSS (Bike Sharing System) in the daily life of the urban lifestyle, the city as well as its citizens, in the context of sustainable development. For purposes of the survey, a questionnaire was composed on the website www.esurvey.com, where the requirements of potential users was collected in regards to the system. After having identified the design specifications, it precedes/proceeds with a thorough background investigation, as the Information System was suggested. In order for this project to be completed, an end user interface screens for user interaction with the system, which was designed through the website www.fluid.com, and then, the content was evaluated, based on heuristic evaluation. In conclusion, the epilogue answers the original question, namely whether the proposal made may be applicable and functional, drawing towards the conclusions being quite satisfactory. Finally, an attempt to make a prediction regarding this Information System in relation to its viability in Athens, as well as highlighted some areas that should/could be reviewed and re-evaluated, as well as a focal point in which designers should centre their attention upon, in the future."

      "@value" : "Η παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία εστιάζει στην ανάλυση και τη σχεδίαση ενός πληροφοριακού συστήματος, το οποίο θα υποστηρίζει τη διαδικασία της ενοικίασης κοινόχρηστων ποδηλάτων σε ένα αστικό περιβάλλον και συγκεκριμένα, για το κέντρο της Αθήνας, από τη μεριά του χρήστη πρωτίστως, αλλά και της διαχείρισης και εσωτερικής λειτουργίας αυτού. Παράλληλα, η εργασία προσπαθεί να εξετάσει τα οφέλη που μπορεί να προσφέρει η ένταξη ενός BSS (Bike Sharing System) στην καθημερινότητα της πόλης και των πολιτών της, στα πλαίσια της βιώσιμης ανάπτυξης. Για τις ανάγκες της έρευνας συντάχθηκε ερωτηματολόγιο, στο δικτυακό τόπο www.esurveypro.com, όπου και συλλέχθηκαν οι απαιτήσεις των εν δυνάμει χρηστών σε σχέση με το σύστημα και αφού ορίστηκαν οι σχεδιαστικές προδιαγραφές, έχοντας προηγηθεί διεξοδική έρευνα υποβάθρου, προτάθηκε το εν λόγω πληροφοριακό σύστημα. Για την ολοκλήρωση αυτού σχεδιάστηκαν, στο δικτυακό τόπο www.fluid.com, οθόνες διεπαφής τελικού χρήστη, για την αλληλεπίδραση των χρηστών με το σύστημα, και στη συνέχεια, αξιολογήθηκε το περιεχόμενο αυτών, βάσει ευρετικής αξιολόγησης. Εν κατακλείδι, ο επίλογος απαντάει στο αρχικό ερώτημα, δηλαδή κατά πόσο η πρόταση που έγινε μπορεί να είναι εφαρμόσιμη και λειτουργική, με τα συμπεράσματα που προκύπτουν να είναι πολύ ικανοποιητικά. Τέλος, επιχειρείται να γίνει μια πρόβλεψη αναφορικά με το εν λόγω πληροφοριακό σύστημα σε σχέση με τη βιωσιμότητά του στην Αθήνα και επιπλέον, επισημαίνονται κάποιες περιοχές που θα πρέπει να επανεξεταστούν και στις οποίες θα πρέπει να εμβαθύνουν οι σχεδιαστές που θα ασχοληθούν με το συγκεκριμένο θέμα μελλοντικά."
