5th International conference on new horizons in industry, business and education (EN)
The aim of this paper is to examine historic and emerging educational environments, analyse the respective management philosophies and suggest higher education institution management values and principles appropriate for emerging educational environments. Drawing from the experiences of the business world, the differences between the historic and emerging educational environments are considered through the examination of the relevant factors at the micro- and macro-environment of higher education institutions. The traditional values that underpin management philosophies within educational environments are examined and analysed and those appropriate for emerging educational environments are identified and recommended.
