Το 1780 συνάφθηκε συμβόλαιο μεταξύ των τριών κτητόρων του ναού και του ζωγράφου Αλεξίου από την Άρτα, ο οποίος ανέλαβε την αγιογράφηση της ουρανίας, των τοίχων, του στηθαίου του γυναικωνίτη, του Αγίου Βήματος και εικόνων του τέμπλου την περίοδο 1780-1782."
