      "@value" : "Ο σκοπός της παρούσας εργασίας είναι να εξετάσει τα στοιχεία τα οποία μπορούν να αποτυπώσουν την συμβολή της Θράκης στους Απελευθερωτικούς Αγώνες και την εκπαιδευτική κατάσταση η οποία επικρατούσε την περίοδο 1821. Πιο συγκεκριμένα, αυτή η εργασία, μελετά δεδομένα τα οποία προκύπτουν μέσα από τις βιβλιογραφικές αναφορές για την περίοδο εκείνη. Ένα σημείο άξιο αναφοράς ήταν ότι παρά τους δυσμενείς παράγοντες που οδηγούσαν στην αποτυχία του επαναστατικού κινήματος στη Θράκη, εν τούτοις και ένοπλες εξεγέρσεις πραγματοποιήθηκαν σε διάφορες περιοχές της, αλλά και ένοπλες ομάδες Θρακών υπήρχαν και δρούσαν κατά την διάρκεια της μακραίωνης τουρκικής δουλείας. Ένα εξίσου σημαντικό τμήμα αυτού του άρθρου αποτελεί και η αναφορά ότι κατά τη διάρκεια της Ελληνικής Επανάστασης του 1821 ήταν αναμενόμενο να ανακοπεί η εκπαιδευτική ανάπτυξη, όχι όμως εντελώς. Στην επαναστατημένη Ελλάδα, εξαιτίας των σκληρών διωγμών που επικρατούσαν, ήταν συχνό φαινόμενο άλλα σχολεία να κλείνουν, ενώ σε άλλα να μειωθεί ο αριθμός των μαθητών και δασκάλων."
