      "@value" : "Το παρόν γεωλογικό χρονικό διάστημα χαρακτηρίζεται ως Ανθρωπόκαινο. Χαρακτηριστικά του είναι η ανθρώπινη κυριαρχία του πλανητικού οικοσυστήματος, η οποία έχει επιφέρει αρνητικές -και σε πολλές περιπτώσεις μη αναστρέψιμες- συνέπειες για τη Γη και τη βιόσφαιρα. Το Ανθρωπόκαινο απασχολεί επιστήμονες από διαφορετικά ερευνητικά πεδία, που προβληματίζονται αναφορικά με τις συνέπειες που θα κληθούν να αντιμετωπίσουν τα παιδιά του μέλλοντος. Στο πλαίσιο της παγκόσμιας κινητοποίησης για μια νέα, ηθική προσέγγιση του φυσικού περιβάλλοντος από τον άνθρωπο και τον κατακερματισμό της ηγεμονικής του θέσης μέσα σε αυτό, συγγραφείς για παιδιά επιχειρούν να καταστήσουν τους ανήλικους αναγνώστες πλανητικά εγγράμματους, εμφυσώντας τους μια ηθική αποστασιοποιημένη από τις οντολογικές και επιστημολογικές παραδοχές που αντιλαμβάνονται τον άνθρωπο ως τον μοναδικό διαμορφωτή του κόσμου. Πολλοί, ωστόσο, δεν επιλέγουν να ρομαντικοποιήσουν τη σχέση του ανθρώπου με τη Φύση, αλλά επιχειρούν να καταπολεμήσουν την περιβαλλοντική του αδρανοποίηση εκθέτοντας την αλήθεια. Στο παρόν άρθρο θα ερευνηθεί πώς σύγχρονοι συγγραφείς παιδικών βιβλία γνώσεων ενημερώνουν τους αναγνώστες για τις γεωλογικές και βιολογικές διεργασίες του πλανήτη και τις πτυχές της περιβαλλοντικής καταστροφής με στόχο να του καλλιεργήσουν περιβαλλοντική συνείδηση, ισορροπώντας μεταξύ δυστοπικής και ευτοπικής γραφής. Η έρευνα βασίζεται στην πρόσφατη βιβλιογραφία για τις μετα-ανθρωπιστικές προσεγγίσεις στην Παιδική Λογοτεχνία, στη θεωρία για τη διαντίδραση οπτικής και λεκτικής αφήγησης και σε εκείνη για τη σημειωτική της εικόνας, καθώς επίσης στην επιστημονική θέση για την ερμηνευτική ανταπόκριση του υπονοούμενου αναγνώστη."
