This paper presents a new approach for designing constrained controllers for linear discrete-time descriptor systems subject also to initial state constraints. To this effect, a preliminary feedback is applied in order to eliminate non-causalities, so the system is decomposed into a dynamic and a static subsystem. Then, a constrained linear controller is designed for the dynamic subsystem, so the overall feedback control law stabilizes the system, respecting the constraints. (EN)
