Although the spinning type of uroflowmeter is quite accurate and highly responsive, it is very sensitive to the way the urine reaches the surface of the rotating disc. For example, if the urine stream does not all hit the same point on the disc, this results in the appearance of hills and valleys in the flow rate curve, thus giving a misleading picture to the physician. This work aims at removing the ambiguities concerning the flow rate curve by analyzing digitally the X-ray pictures of the bladder and at the same time quantifying the displacement of the bladder wall versus time.
