Numerical results have been obtained by both potential and viscous flow calculations. The latter were carried out using the partially parabolic method with the k-epsilon turbulence model. To evaluate the numerical methods, experiments were performed in the NTUA towing tank on a body of revolution having a length to diameter ratio of 10 at Re = 1.87 x 10(6). The measured values of the pressure coefficients are compared with numerical predictions for various circumferential angles and angles of incidence.</dc:description><dc:identifier>http://hdl.handle.net/123456789/23096</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>ISI:A1990FL79600005</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>14</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>0342-068X</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>5</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>315</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>326</dc:identifier><dc:language>eng</dc:language><dc:publisher xml:lang='en'>SPRINGER VERLAG</dc:publisher><dc:source xml:lang='en'>ZEITSCHRIFT FUR FLUGWISSENSCHAFTEN UND WELTRAUMFORSCHUNG</dc:source><dc:subject rdf:resource='http://semantics.gr/authorities/EKT-voc-classifier/1563740051'></dc:subject><dc:subject xml:lang='en'>FLOW</dc:subject><dc:title xml:lang='en'>NUMERICAL AND EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF THE PRESSURE FIELD AROUND A BODY OF REVOLUTION AT INCIDENCE</dc:title><dc:type rdf:resource='http://semantics.gr/authorities/openarchives-item-types/Journal-part'></dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource='http://semantics.gr/authorities/openarchives-item-types/Scientific-article'></dc:type><dc:type xml:lang='en'>journalArticle</dc:type><dcterms:created>1990</dcterms:created></edm:ProvidedCHO><skos:Concept rdf:about='http://semantics.gr/authorities/openarchives-item-types/Journal-part'><skos:prefLabel xml:lang='el'>Δημοσίευση σε περιοδικό</skos:prefLabel><skos:prefLabel xml:lang='en'>Publication in journal</skos:prefLabel><skos:broader rdf:resource='http://semantics.gr/authorities/openarchives-item-types/Issue-segment'></skos:broader></skos:Concept><skos:Concept rdf:about='http://semantics.gr/authorities/EKT-voc-classifier/1563740051'><skos:prefLabel xml:lang='el'>Αεροδιαστημική μηχανική</skos:prefLabel><skos:prefLabel xml:lang='en'>Aerospace Engineering</skos:prefLabel><skos:broader rdf:resource='http://semantics.gr/authorities/EKT-voc-classifier/930845496'></skos:broader><skos:exactMatch rdf:resource='http://vocabularies.unesco.org/thesaurus/concept1569'></skos:exactMatch><skos:exactMatch rdf:resource='http://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh95007821'></skos:exactMatch><skos:exactMatch rdf:resource='http://semantics.gr/authorities/EKT-voc/1563740051'></skos:exactMatch><skos:note xml:lang='en'>isi - Engineering, Aerospace includes resources concerned with astronautics, aeronautics, aerospace, and aviation.
