Στόχος της παρούσας εργασίας είναι να αναδειχθεί η σημασία της συνεργασίας σχολείου – γονέων, και ιδιαίτερα των γονέων από μεταναστευτικά περιβάλλοντα. Τις τελευταίες δεκαετίες έχει αναγνωριστεί, σε παγκόσμιο επίπεδο, η σπουδαιότητα αυτής της συνεργασίας, καθώς η εμπλοκή των γονέων στην εκπαίδευση των παιδιών μπορεί να συμβάλει στην ανάπτυξη των κοινωνικό-συναισθηματικών δεξιοτήτων και στη σχολική επιτυχία των παιδιών. Η συνεργασία σχολείου - οικογένειας φαίνεται να έχει ιδιαίτερη σημασία στην περίπτωση των μεταναστών γονέων, παρά τις αντικειμενικές δυσκολίες που μπορεί να υπάρξουν στη συνεργασία των συγκεκριμένων γονεϊκών ομάδων με το σχολείο. Παρόλα αυτά, εκπαιδευτικοί και μετανάστες γονείς οφείλουν να προσπαθήσουν για μια ουσιαστική επικοινωνία και δημιουργική συνεργασία, με στόχο τα παιδιά από διαφορετικά πολιτισμικά πλαίσια να ενταχθούν ομαλά στo σχολικό και κοινωνικό πλαίσιο. This paper is aimed at highlighting the importance of cooperation between school and parents, focusing on the group of immigrant parents. For the last decades, the significance of this cooperation has been acknowledged globally, since parents’ involvement in their children's education could contribute to the development of children’s social-emotional skills, as well as to their school success. School-family cooperation has been indicated to play an important role in the case of immigrant parents, despite the objective difficulties that may arise in the collaboration between school and the specific target group. Nevertheless, teachers and immigrant parents must strive for an effective communication and creative cooperation, aiming at immigrant children’s smooth inclusion into school and social context. (EN)
