In this paper we outline a program of Visual Arts education, parts of which were taught in the Departments of Preschool Education at various Greek universities. The program aimed to familiarize the students of the department with issues in the pre-school education in Visual Arts. More specifically, we present the structure and the content of the program putting emphasis upon its main principles that are the following: (a) the organic relation between theory and practice, (b) the in depth study of selected teaching material, and (c) the central role in the program played by the teaching of painting. The paper also underlies the dynamical character of the program. Finally, it includes information regarding student evaluation. (EN)
