Η φιλοσοφία της εκπαίδευσης του Dewey και η παιδαγωγική μέθοδος της Montessori έχουν επηρεάσει σε σημαντικό βαθμό τις σύγχρονες προσεγγίσεις για την προσχολική εκπαίδευση. Οι απόψεις τους ανέδειξαν τη σημασία που έχουν για τη μαθησιακή διαδικασία οι εμπειρίες και τα ενδιαφέροντα των παιδιών. Στην εργασία αυτή παρουσιάζονται συνοπτικά ορισμένες από τις βασικές θέσεις του Dewey και της Montessori προκειμένου να εξετάσουμε τη σύνδεση με τις σύγχρονες προσεγγίσεις για την προσχολική εκπαίδευση. Αυτή η οπτική μπορεί να βοηθήσει τους εκπαιδευτικούς να κατανοήσουν βασικές πτυχές του ρόλου τους και να δουν αναστοχαστικά την πρακτική τους. (EL)
Contemporary approaches in early childhood education have been significantly influenced by Dewey's philosophy of education and Montessori's educational method. Their ideas demonstrated the importance of children's experiences and interests for the learning process. In this paper we present some of their basic ideas in order to examine the relations between them and modern educational approaches. Such an approach may help educators realize some crucial aspects of their role and reflect on their own practice. (EN)
