      "@value" : "Ένα σοβαρό στρες με υψηλά ποσοστά θνησιμότητας και νοσηρότητας που μπορεί να \nυποστεί το έμβρυο είναι η περιγεννητική υποξική/ ισχαιμική προσβολή. Η εκλυτική \nορμόνη της κορτικοτροπίνης (CRH) είναι κρίσιμος ρυθμιστής του άξονα υποθαλάμου-\nυπόφυσης-επινεφριδίων (ΥΥΕ). Πειραματικές μελέτες έδειξαν ότι η περιγεννητική \nυποξία προκαλεί μακροπρόθεσμες μεταβολές στην CRH έκφραση στον παρακοιλιακό \nπυρήνα (PVN), οδηγώντας σε απορρύθμιση του ΥΥΕ άξονα. Σκοπός της εργασίας ήταν \nη ανοσοϊστοχημική διερεύνηση της επίδρασης της περιγεννητικής υποξίας στους \nυποθαλαμικούς CRH νευρώνες ανθρώπινων νεογνών. Υποθάλαμοι 11 νεογνών που \nκατέληξαν από νεογνική υποξική/ ισχαιμική εγκεφαλοπάθεια συλλέχθηκαν από την \nΕλληνική Τράπεζα Εγκεφάλου. Πραγματοποιήθηκε μορφομετρική ανάλυση, μετρήθηκε ο \nαριθμός των CRH-θετικών (IR) κυττάρων, η ένταση της χρώσης, το κυτταρικό και \nπυρηνικό μέγεθος αυτών. Τα αποτελέσματα έδειξαν θετική συσχέτιση μεταξύ του \nαριθμού των CRH κυττάρων και της διάρκειας της υποξίας, της εγκεφαλικής \nατροφίας, της συνολικής και μεταγεννητικής ηλικίας και της παρουσίας λοίμωξης, \nκαθώς και θετική συσχέτιση μεταξύ του μέσου μεγέθους των πυρήνων των CRH \nκυττάρων και της διάρκειας της υποξίας, της εγκεφαλικής ατροφίας και της \nμεταγεννητικής ηλικίας. Τα αποτελέσματα υποδεικνύουν ότι στα ανθρώπινα νεογνά \nτο παρατεταμένο υποξικό στρες προκαλεί μια σημαντική αύξηση στην έκφρασης της \nCRH στον PVN. Η λοίμωξη φαίνεται να παίζει επιπρόσθετο ρόλο στην ενεργοποίηση \nτων CRH νευρώνων."

      "@value" : "A severe fetal stress with high mortality and morbidity is perinatal hypoxic/ \nischemic injury. Corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) is the critical \nregulator of the hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis. Experimental \nstudies showed that perinatal hypoxia can cause long-term changes in the \nexpression of CRH in neurons of paraventricular nucleus (PVN), leading to \ndysregulation of the HPA axis in adulthood. Purpose of the present study was to \nimmunohistochemically investigate the effect of perinatal hypoxia on CRH \nneurons of PVN in humans. Hypothalami from 11 neonates diagnosed with neonatal \nhypoxic/ ischemic encephalopathy were collected from the Greek Brain Bank. \nMorphometrical analysis was performed and the number of CRH-immunoreactive (IR) \nneurons, the intensity of CRH staining and the cell and nucleus size were \nmeasured. Our results showed a positive correlation between the numbers of \nCRH-IR cells and the duration of hypoxia, brain atrophy, total and postnatal \nage, and infection, as well as between the nucleus sizes of CRH-IR cells and \nthe duration of hypoxia, brain arophy and postnatal age. These results indicate \nthat in the human neonate prolonged perinatal hypoxic stress causes a \nsignificant increase in the expression of CRH in PVN. Infection seems to play \nadditional role in the activation of CRH neurons."
