      "@value" : "This study focuses on the expression of the transcription factors Kruppel like \nfactors (KLFs) and mostly KLF6 in renal fibrosis. We used as a model UUO \n(unilateral ureteric obstruction) in rats and as a material renal biopsies were \nused. The methodology consists of real time pcr, immunohistochemistry, double \nimmunofluorescence. According to the results the expression of KLFs and \nspecifically KLF6 increases at the stages of early fibrosis compared to control \nanimals and advanced fibrosis. Interestingly enough, we found some cells around \nthe glomerulus, which at the stage of early fibrosis express both KLF6 and \naSMA, which is a marker of activated fibroblasts, so these cells probably \nrepresent activated fibroblasts with a significant role in the progression of \nkidney fibrosis."

      "@value" : "Στην παρούσα μελέτη ερευνήθηκε η έκφραση των μεταγραφικών παραγόντων Kruppel \nlike factors (KLFs) και κυρίως του KLF6 στη νεφρική ίνωση με βασικό ζωικό \nπειραματικό μοντέλο το μοντέλο μονόπλευρης απόφραξης του ουρητήρα, γνωστό ως \nUUO σε αρουραίους και ως υλικό χρησιμοποιήθηκαν βιοψίες νεφρού. Οι μέθοδοι που \nχρησιμοποιήθηκαν ήταν real time pcr, ανοσοϊστοχημεία και διπλός ανοσοφθορισμός. \nΣύμφωνα με τα αποτελέσματα οι KLFs και ειδικότερα ο KLF6 αυξάνεται στα πρώτα \nστάδια της νεφρικής ίνωσης σε σχέση με τα ζώα μάρτυρες και τα ζώα που έχουν \nυποστεί προχωρημένη ίνωση. Ιδιαίτερο ενδιαφέρον παρουσιάζει η υπάρξη \nπερισπειραματικών κυττάρων, τα οποία στην αρχή της ινωτικής διαδικασίας \nεκφράζουν τόσο τον KLF6 όσο και την aSMA (δείκτη ενεργοποιημένων ινοβλαστών), \nκαι πιθανότατα αποτελούν ενεργοποιημένους ινοβλάστες με ιδιαίτερο ρόλο στην \nεξέλιξη της ίνωσης στο νεφρό."
