      "@value" : "Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) affects a significant and growing proportion of the student population with implications for children's academic, emotional and social development. Teachers play a very important role in identifying their needs, in the process of diagnosis, in subsequent support for children and implementation of inclusion.\n    The aim of this study was to investigate primary school teachers' knowledge about ADHD, their perceptions and attitudes towards inclusion of children with ADHD.\n    Their knowledge ranged at moderate levels, being higher around symptoms and diagnosis and lower around associated characteristics and treatment, with significant gaps and misconceptions. Specialization in special education and education specifically around ADHD were found to positively influence the level of knowledge as well as perceptions and attitudes in specific areas. \n    Teachers were found to have positive, neutral and negative perceptions, and as far as their attitudes are concerned, it is noteworthy that a significant degree of belief in an inclusive school and a willingness to modify conditions and methods of teaching to achieve inclusion of children with ADHD, was revealed.\n    However, the results highlight the need to improve teachers' knowledge about ADHD, to provide them with continuous and adequate training, and to enhance their feelings of competence to appropriately support all children in the context of inclusive education."

      "@value" : "Η Διαταραχή Ελλειμματικής Προσοχής - Υπερκινητικότητας (ΔΕΠ-Υ) επηρεάζει ένα σημαντικό συνεχώς αυξανόμενο ποσοστό του μαθητικού πληθυσμού με επιπτώσεις στην ακαδημαϊκή, συναισθηματική και κοινωνική εξέλιξη των παιδιών. Οι εκπαιδευτικοί παίζουν πολύ σημαντικό ρόλο στον εντοπισμό των αναγκών, στη διαδικασία της διάγνωσης, στη μετέπειτα υποστήριξη των παιδιών και στην εφαρμογή της συμπερίληψης.\n    Σκοπός της παρούσας έρευνας ήταν η διερεύνηση των γνώσεων των εκπαιδευτικών δημοτικών σχολείων γύρω από τη ΔΕΠ-Υ, των αντιλήψεων και των στάσεων τους ως προς τη συμπερίληψη των παιδιών με ΔΕΠ-Υ.\n    Οι γνώσεις τους κυμάνθηκαν σε μέτρια επίπεδα, ήταν υψηλότερες γύρω από τα συμπτώματα και τη διάγνωση και χαμηλότερες γύρω από τα συσχετισμένα χαρακτηριστικά και τη θεραπεία, με σημαντικά ελλείμματα και παρανοήσεις. Η ειδίκευση στην ειδική αγωγή και η εκπαίδευση συγκεκριμένα γύρω από τη ΔΕΠ-Υ βρέθηκαν να επηρεάζουν θετικά το επίπεδο των γνώσεων αλλά και τις αντιλήψεις και τις στάσεις σε συγκεκριμένους τομείς. \n    Οι εκπαιδευτικοί βρέθηκαν να έχουν θετικές, ουδέτερες αλλά και αρνητικές αντιλήψεις, ενώ σε σχέση με τις στάσεις τους αξιοσημείωτο είναι ότι φανερώθηκε σε σημαντικό βαθμό πίστη σε ένα συμπεριληπτικό σχολείο και προθυμία να τροποποιήσουν τις συνθήκες και τη διδασκαλία τους ώστε να επιτευχθεί η συμπερίληψη των παιδιών με ΔΕΠ-Υ.\n    Ωστόσο, τα αποτελέσματα αναδεικνύουν την ανάγκη για βελτίωση των γνώσεων των εκπαιδευτικών γύρω από τη ΔΕΠ-Υ, για συνεχή και επαρκή εκπαίδευση τους και για ενίσχυση των συναισθημάτων επάρκειας τους για την κατάλληλη υποστήριξη όλων των παιδιών στο πλαίσιο της συμπεριληπτικής εκπαίδευσης."
