Σκοπός της παρούσας μελέτης ήταν η εργαστηριακή διερεύνηση της επίδρασης της τεχνικής αποτύπωσης (ανοικτού ή κλειστού δισκαρίου), της αξονικής κλίσης και του τύπου της προσθετικής κεφαλής των εμφυτευμάτων στην ακρίβεια αποτύπωσής τους. Χρησιμοποιήθηκαν 16 εμφυτεύματα (8 εξωτερικής γεωμετρίας και 8 οκταγωνικής εσωτερικής γεωμετρίας), με διαφορετική αξονική κλίση (0?, 15? και 25?). Για τις ανάγκες της αποτύπωσης σχεδιάστηκε και κατασκευάστηκε πρότυπη συσκευή αποτύπωσης, με την οποία λήφθηκαν αποτυπώματα με τις τεχνικές ανοικτού και κλειστού δισκαρίου. Οι μετρήσεις στο πειραματικό μέρος της μελέτης έγιναν με μετρητική μηχανή συντεταγμένων (Μηχανή Μέτρησης Συντεταγμένων, CMM). Υπό τις συνθήκες της παρούσας ερευνητικής μελέτης προέκυψαν τα ακόλουθα συμπεράσματα: Η αλληλεπίδραση τεχνικής αποτύπωσης (ανοικτού ή κλειστού δισκαρίου) και της αξονικής κλίσης των οδοντικών εμφυτευμάτων (εσωτερικής ή εξωτερικής γεωμετρίας) δεν επηρεάζει την ακρίβεια της αποτύπωσής τους. Ο παράγοντας τεχνική αποτύπωσης (ανοικτού ή κλειστού δισκαρίου) δεν επηρεάζει την ακρίβεια αποτύπωσης, είτε με τη χρήση του εξωτερικού εξαγώνου είτε με τη χρήση του εσωτερικού οκταγώνου. Ο παράγοντας αξονική κλίση των εμφυτευμάτων δεν επηρεάζει την ακρίβεια αποτύπωσης με τη χρήση των εμφυτευμάτων του εξωτερικού εξαγώνου και ο παράγοντας αξονική κλίση των εμφυτευμάτων επηρεάζει στατιστικά σημαντικά την ακρίβεια αποτύπωσης των εμφυτευμάτων εσωτερικού οκταγώνου.", "Introduction: The use of dental implants is becoming increasingly popular in the restoration of edentulous and partially dentate jaws, particularly in cases where there has been limited success with conventional techniques. Several impression techniques have been advocated to achieve a definitive cast, that will affect the passive fit of an implant-supported prosthesis. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effect of implant impression technique (open and closed tray), implant axial angulation and implant head type (internal octagon and external hexagon) on the implant impression accuracy. Method and materials: Impressions of sixteen implants (8 internal octagon and 8 external hexagon) were taken with a specially designed and constructed impression device with two techniques (open and closed trays). Measurements of impression distortion were obtained directly from the impression using a coordinate measuring machine (CMM). Results and Conclusion: Within the limitations of this study, the following results were obtained: The correlation between the impression technique and the implant axial angulation did not affect the implant impression accuracy. The clinical factor “implant axial angulation” did not affect the impression accuracy when implants with an external hexagon geometry were used.
