    "description" : [ "The dissertation aims to explore the existence of the possible interactions between Greek and Italian writers during the period that begins from the first quarter of the twentieth century until the early 1980s. It is a period when the geographical proximity is a determining but not limiting factor for the development of such interactions, as the speed of communications made the boundaries of space and time in art fade. The theoretical as well as experiential contact with the new European ideological and artistic stimuli takes place in almost real time and is added to the cultural foundations built by the ancestors and duly proven historical, social and political fermentation between the two cultures which culminate in the experience of World War II that brought the two countries face to face. The questions that arose at the beginning of the research were many starting with whether the war rivalry brought the Greeks in contact or distanced them from the Italian writers and vice versa. Also, how receptive made the writers to the french currents of Surrealism and Hermeticism the fact that both countries were newly formed states seeking for their national and cultural identity, after long periods of foreign domination and geopolitical change. Also, how all the above are filtered and reflected in the literary production and the personal testimonies of Greek and Italian authors of the time. Finally, if the interaction is confirmed, what is its role in the new identity that each country builds in this sociopolitical situation. The four authors selected to be studied are from the greek side Nikos Eggonopoulos and George Theotokas and from the Italian Leonardo Sinisgalli and Vittorio Sereni. The choice was made based on the fact that in their works there were indications of their relationship with both sides of the Adriatic, however this was largely unexplored in contrast to the great protagonists of the period that have already been sufficiently studied", "Η διατριβή έχει στόχο να διερευνήσει την ύπαρξη της συνέχιση της αμφίδρομης σχέσης Ελλήνων και Ιταλών λογοτεχνών την περίοδο που ξεκινά από το πρώτο τέταρτο του εικοστού αιώνα έως τις αρχές της δεκαετίας του 1980. Μια εποχή που η γεωγραφική εγγύτητα είναι καθοριστικός αλλά όχι περιοριστικός παράγοντας για τη δημιουργία τέτοιων αλληλεπιδράσεων, καθώς η ταχύτητα των εξελίξεων και η ανάπτυξη των επικοινωνιών έκαναν τα όρια του χώρου και του χρόνου αλλά και της τέχνης να ξεθωριάζουν. Η θεωρητική όπως και βιωματική επαφή με τα νέα ευρωπαϊκά ιδεολογικά και καλλιτεχνικά ερεθίσματα γίνεται σε σχεδόν πραγματικό χρόνο κι έρχεται να προστεθεί στα πολιτισμικά θεμέλια που έχουν χτίσει οι πατροπαράδοτες και δεόντως αποδεδειγμένες ιστορικές, κοινωνικές και πολιτικές ζυμώσεις μεταξύ των δύο πολιτισμών οι οποίες κορυφώνονται με την εμπειρία του Δευτέρου Παγκοσμίου Πολέμου που έφερε τις δύο χώρες αντιμέτωπες. Τα ερωτήματα που γεννήθηκαν στην αρχή της έρευνας ήταν πολλά με πρώτο το εάν η πολεμική αντιπαλότητα έφερε σε επαφή ή απομάκρυνε τους Έλληνες από τους Ιταλούς λογοτέχνες και αντίστροφα. Επίσης, πόσο δεκτικούς έκανε τους συγγραφείς στα ρεύματα του Υπερρεαλισμού και του Ερμητισμού το γεγονός ότι και οι δύο χώρες αποτελούσαν νεοσύστατα κράτη που αναζητούσαν την εθνική και πολιτισμική τους ταυτότητά, μετά από μακρές περιόδους ξένων κυριαρχιών και γεωπολιτικών αλλαγών. Επίσης, πώς τα παραπάνω φιλτράρονται και αντικατοπτρίζονται στη λογοτεχνική παραγωγή και τις προσωπικές μαρτυρίες Ελλήνων και Ιταλών συγγραφέων της εποχής. Τέλος, αν επιβεβαιώνεται αλληλεπίδραση, ποιός ο ρόλος της στη νέα ταυτότητα που χτίζει ο κάθε λαός μέσα σε αυτό το κοινωνικοπολιτικό γίγνεσθαι.   Οι τέσσερις συγγραφείς που επιλέχθηκαν να μελετηθούν είναι από την ελληνική πλευρά οι Νίκος Εγγονόπουλου και Γιώργος Θεοτοκάς και από την ιταλική οι Leonardo Sinisgalli και Vittorio Sereni. Η επιλογή έγινε με κριτήριο το γεγονός πως στα έργα τους υπήρχαν ενδείξεις για τη σχέση τους και με τις δύο όχθες της Αδριατικής ωστόσο αυτή ήταν εν πολλοίς ανεξερεύνητη σε αντίθεση με τους μεγάλους πρωταγωνιστές της περιόδου που έχουν ήδη επαρκώς μελετηθεί." ],
