This dissertation was written as part of the MA in the Classical Archaeology and the Ancient History of Macedonia at the International Hellenic University. This specific work focuses on the study of deities of eastern origin. First, the geographical boundaries of Macedonia in ancient times will be presented. In the first phase, reference will be made to its name, the regions, the lakes, the rivers, the mountains, the mountain ranges that make it up as well as its inhabitants. Then, we will move on to the influences he received from other peoples. At this point, importance will be given to religion, mentioning the main deities that appeared in Macedonia. Basic characteristics of each deity will be presented as well as the sources from which these data were derived. At the end of the work, the conclusions obtained from all the analysis will be formulated. This paperwork could not complete successfully without the guidance of my supervisor Prof. Eleni Mendesidou who supported me in every step of the procedure of whiting. The helpful instructions she offered me attached importance to my dissertation and every discussion with her was a booster for me. For all these reasons I thank a lot to my supervisor for her support. (EN)
